The workshop is organized by Hajo Reijers, Marcello La Rosa, and Remco Dijkman.
Hajo Reijers is an Associate Professor in the Information Systems group of Eindhoven University of Technology, The Netherlands. He obtained two MSc degrees and a PhD degree from the same university. He has worked as a consultant for Accenture and Deloitte on projects that involved the implementation of workflow technology and business process improvement. His current research interests are related to business process modeling under realistic conditions, the evaluation of workflow management implementations, and IT tool support for business process management in the broadest sense. Hajo was one of the PC chairs for the 2009 edition of the BPM conference series and has been co-organizing the affiliated BPD workshop since 2003.
Marcello La Rosa is a Senior Lecturer with the Business Process Management (BPM) Research Group at the Queensland University of Technology - Brisbane, Australia. He took his Laurea degree in Computer Engineering from Politecnico di Torino - Italy in 2005. Then he undertook his PhD studies in the area of Business Process Configuration with the BPM Research Group, which he concluded in 2009. His research interests include process configuration, management of large process model collections and software oriented architecture (SOA) design and analysis. Marcello also offers professional training and consultancy services in the areas of BPM and SOA, and is actively involved in the development of YAWL - the most mature community-based open-source BPM system.
Remco Dijkman is an Assistant Professor in Information Systems at Eindhoven University of Technology. He holds an M.Sc. degree and a Ph.D. degree from the University of Twente. In Eindhoven, he specializes in Business Process Management and Enterprise Architecture. Previously, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher and as a research assistant in the area of Architecture of Distributed Systems at the University of Twente. Before that he combined work as a research assistant and consultant in positions at the Open University of the Netherlands and Ordina. He has been a visitor of the Business Process Management Research Group at the Queensland University of Technology.
